We expect ALL participating members of ALL Shipton-under-Wychwood Cricket teams to behave in a sportsman-like and respectful manner to all visiting sides, supports and match officials, as set out in our Club Mandate.

Umpires & Tea Ladies
Whilst League Umpires and our Tea Ladies do receive a sum of money to cover their costs, they are volunteering their time and effort and we are very appreciative of this; we expect ALL members of Shipton-under-Wychwood Cricket Club to be polite and respectful of these participants at ALL times.

Shipton 1st XI suffered a lost away at Banbury, despite Andy Hemming's carrying his bat for his maiden League century, 119 not out. Shipton made 234 for 5 with Paul Hemming (38) and Phil Garner (25) the only other batsmen to make significant contributions.
Shipton fought hard in the field but Banbury scored the required runs with 7 balls to spare, Rob Pike the only Shipton bowler to take wickets (2-61 from 15.5), although there were also 3 run outs from Andy Hemming, Dicken Morris and Chris Panter.

Cherwell League games start at 1.00pm for our 1st XI and 2nd XI, 1.30pm for our 3rd XI; please arrive an hour before these games if at home for warm-up, and at the designated time and location for away games.

National Village Knockout and most Sunday games start at 2pm. The same fee and arrival times apply.

Most evening games (e.g. Over 40's) are scheduled to start at 6.15pm.
